Dne 15.3.2008 proběhl ve Frýdku-Místku, v restauraci Stolárna, v pořadí již pátý, závod oblíbeného seriálu MiniZ Racer Stolárna CUP 2008.

Scénář průběhu závodu byl stejný jako obvykle. Začalo se v 11.30 hod stavbou samotné dráhy Kyosho, která umožňuje nesčetně mnoho tvarů. Po vyčištění dráhy začal volný tréning a souběžně probíhala registrace do závodu. Účast byla již standardní a to bylo celkem úspěch s přihlédnutím k hustotě závodů v tomto termínu.

Situace ve startovním poli závodníků se neustále mění, jednou se daří, podruhé ne. Je zajímavé, že model, který minule skvěle jezdil, tak při dalším závodě stávkuje. Na vině je teplota v místnosti, na kterou jsou pneumatiky modelů velmi citlivé a rovněž jejich opotřebení.

Závod se jel ve třech kvalifikačních skupinách, kdy jezdci absolvovali 3 kvalifikační rozjížďky a následně 3 finálové jízdy bez rozdílu skupin. Tento systém je spravedlivější a zvýhodňuje výkonnost jezdců proti jezdeckému štěstí. Tedy i jezdec z třetí finálové skupiny může zvítězit.
